Unsere aktuellen Warnungen von Kalenderwoche 44 sind online!
The warnings show all samples that have been analysed since the last publication of checkit! and classified as high-dose, unexpected or of particular health concern.

Our current warnings for calendar week 34 are online!
The warnings show all samples that have been analysed since the last publication of checkit! and classified as high-dose, unexpected or of particular health concern.
At the beginning and middle of August 2024, we tested a number of substances of particular health concern during mobile and stationary drug checking. Almost half of the cocaine samples submitted during this period contained at least one extender, many of which contained procaine. The cathinone 3-CMC (clophedrone) was detected in two samples submitted for analysis as mephedrone (4-MMC) and 2-MMC in one. In another mephedrone sample, a combination of the cathinones 2-MMC and N-ethylpentedrone was identified.

Since the beginning of the year, the number of cocaine samples submitted to checkit! that are laced with extenders has been increasing. In June, 60% of the cocaine samples were found to contain extenders such as procaine, levamisole, caffeine or phenacetin.
You can find more detailed information on the development, the extenders and how you can reduce the risks of consumption in the article and on our website.

If you consume illegalised substances, you are not only taking a health risk, you may also be liable to prosecution. In Austria, there are legal regulations on the possession, transfer, purchase, etc. of many psychoactive substances. These are regulated in the Narcotic Substances Act (SMG) and the New Psychoactive Substances Act (NPSG), among others. These laws are constantly being revised to include new substances.
In March and April 2024, further substances were included in the SMG and NPSG. "Ergolines" were included in the NPSG. This means that LSD derivatives such as 1P-LSD, 1cP-LSD, 1T-LSD and MIPLA etc. are now included there. Various substances from the group of nitrazines, synthetic cannabinoids, opioids and cathinones were regulated in the SMG.
If you are not sure whether and in which law a substance is covered, or if you have any other legal questions, you are welcome to contact us. Our lawyer Dr Martin Feigl is also available to provide you with legal advice over the phone.
You can find our contact details in the link tree and on our website 😊
It contains a compact summary of information on possible effects, duration of action, legal situation, dosages and risk reduction. You can now get it from us at homebase and at events at our information stands. You can also download it from the website :)

In recent years, cocaine has become more available worldwide than ever before. Cocaine is also increasingly being handed in for analysis at the Z6 drug centre in Innsbruck and checkit! in Vienna. For some years now, the proportion of extender has been decreasing and the cocaine content has been increasing. Most of the samples analysed in 2023 had a very high content of over 800 mg/g (over 80% active substance content). This can lead to more being consumed unintentionally.
⚠️Risiken high dosages - Increasing strain on the cardiovascular system - Increased risk of cardiac arrhythmia and vasoconstriction - Possible consequence: circulatory disorders and increased risk of heart attacks and strokes
💡Risk reduction - Use drug checking! Cocaine content and extenders can vary greatly. - If you don't have the option of drug checking, dose low and wait before topping up. Accept when the effect comes to an end. - Use your own drawing tube and do not use banknotes. - Avoid mixed consumption with other substances. When combined with alcohol, cocaethylene is produced, which is more harmful to the heart than the substances alone. - Cocaine can be psychologically addictive. Take breaks from consumption.
You can find more information about cocaine at https://checkit.wien/substanz/kokain/ If you have any questions, please contact the checkit! and Z6 teams. You can find our contact details on our Instagram profiles in the link tree.
