In recent years, cocaine has become more available worldwide than ever before. Cocaine is also increasingly being handed in for analysis at the Z6 drug centre in Innsbruck and checkit! in Vienna. Both in Innsbruck and Vienna, many samples show a high cocaine content.

The East-West co-operation is a project of the two Austrian drug checking organisations checkit! from Vienna and Drogenarbeit Z6 from Innsbruck. It aims to identify and analyse regional differences and similarities in the drug market as well as consumption patterns and trends.
