Pink powder: Pink Cocaine, Tucibi, Tusi?

For a few years now, an increasing number of pink powder which contains a mixture of different synthetic substances. Also in Vienna such samples have been submitted, especially in the recent past, and have so far mostly contained a Mixture of Ketamine and MDMA. Partly also Amphetamine, 2C-B, Caffeine and ibuprofen detected. The proportions of the identified substances in the mixture differed from powder to powder. Internationally, admixtures of Methamphetamine or opioids have been reported.

The samples in Vienna were submitted for analysis as Pink Cocaine, Tusi, or 2C-B, but contained never Cocaine and if 2C-Bthen only in combination with Ketamine and MDMA. The terms Pink Cocaine, Tucibi or Tusi are scene names from South America for pink-coloured mixes.

The misleading designations can give the impression that it is cocaine or 2C-B. Confusion with a mixture of various other substances can lead to an unpleasant intoxicating experience. Ketamine is a narcotic and painkiller that has sedative and analgesic effects and can trigger dissociative states (e.g. separation of body and mind). Unwitting consumption can therefore be overwhelming and frightening. Mixed use of ketamine and MDMA also represents an increased physical strain. The combination of ketamine and alcohol (or other downers) increases the risk of respiratory paralysis.

The actual composition of such a sample can only be determined by drug checking. We advise against the consumption of pink-coloured powder known as "Tusi", "Tucibi", 2C-B, 2C-B mixture or "Pink Cocaine" is sold, urgently against!
