Over the last few days, here at checkit! we have found unexpected ingredients in ecstasy tablets. These included the following substances: PMMA and NEP. The tablets were bought in Vienna.
Para-methoxymethamphetamine (PMMA) Among other things, it has stimulant and empathogenic effects similar to those of MDMA. Unlike MDMA, however, even small doses can place a significant strain on the cardiovascular system, causing a This can lead to a sharp and rapid rise in blood pressure and body temperature, as well as severe muscle cramps. The delayed onset of PMMA’s effects can lead to people taking more. This can result in life-threatening overdoses.
The consumption of N-ethylpentedrone (NEP) can lead to palpitations, arrhythmia, high blood pressure or even physical restlessness and overheating of the body.
We strongly advise against taking these tablets.
