Current warnings February 2013 - Part 2

As can be seen from the last news report, we have once again analysed a PMA - Fund made. Apart from this, we also had to warn against some high-dose ecstasy tablets as well as alleged MDMA, speed and cocaine samples in which various ingredients were identified. One detailed description all unexpected, high-dose and particularly harmful results you will find here.

PMMA in XTC

Our colleagues from Safer Party from Switzerland have once again identified paramethoxymethamphetamine (PMMA) in an ecstasy tablet. These are two tablets, both of which also contain MDMA also PMMA contained. The logo of the tablets in question is the Toyota - symbol. The exact description of the tablets and further information can be found here.

There are currently repeated PMMA/PMA warnings throughout Europe - we have already found PMA in various substances twice this year. If you decide to consume synthetic substances - despite the health and legal risks, Have your substances tested! If this is not possible, follow the safer use rules: test carefully, wait for the effect, don't top up straight away! You can find more information on PMA/PMMA here here.

PMA in substance mixture

At the weekend, we analysed a white powder containing six different substances - including Paramethoxyamphetamine (PMA) - were identified. The exact ingredients of the sample were: MDMA (203 mg/g) + caffeine (136 mg/g) + methylone (152 mg/g) + PMA (18 mg/g) + mephedrone (1 mg/g) + unknown substance

The dosage of PMA is low, but due to the many different ingredients and the unpredictable interaction effects, it is a Particularly questionable mixture!

We would like to take this finding as an opportunity to emphasise the importance of analysis: If you decide to consume synthetic substances despite the legal and health risks, Have your substances tested! If this is not possible, start slowly, wait for the effect and don't add immediately! Also avoid mixed consumptionas the combination of two or more substances within a short period of time leads to particularly high levels of stress for the body and mind and increases the risk of dangerous incidents. You can find more information on the topic of mixed consumption here. You can find detailed information on PMA here.

PMMA in XTC

Our colleagues from Safer Party from Switzerland have again found PMMA in alleged ecstasy tablets. In addition, very high-dose ecstasy tablets (over 100 milligrams/tablet) are also in circulation there. All details on the current warnings can be found here.

Current warnings February 2013

Since the beginning of February checkit! tested a number of substances of health concern: including - as already published in the news of 8 February - three tablets sold as ecstasy, which contain the new synthetic substance Methoxetamine and ecstasy tablets, which are exclusively MDMA but in return in an extremely high dosage (more than 200 milligrams per tablet). Detailed information on these test results and all other warnings can be found at here.

Methoxetamine sold as XTC!

During the last mission, we tested three tablets sold as ecstasy, which instead of MDMA contain the Research Chemical Methoxetamine contained. Methoxetamine is a ketamine derivative about whose risks, long-term effects and toxicity there is little or no scientific knowledge to date. The effect is similar to that of ketamine, but according to user reports it lasts longer and is very dose-dependent. Some users report an ecstasy-like effect shortly after taking the drug. The dissociative effect sets in later and rather abruptly - especially at higher doses. In August last year, a death was reported here in Vienna in connection with a methoxetamine overdose. The exact reasons for this have not been clarified, but deaths in connection with methoxetamine have also been reported in other European countries.

Due to these facts and because an unexpected dissociative effect can be very unpleasant under certain circumstances, we strongly advise caution: If you decide to use ecstasy despite the health and legal risks, have your tablets tested! If this is not possible, start slowly, don't add more immediately and avoid the additional consumption of other psychoactive substances!

Warnings January 2013

Since the beginning of 2013 checkit! tested a number of substances that pose a health risk - unfortunately again including two alleged ecstasy tablets, which instead of the active ingredient MDMA contain, among other things, the particularly harmful substance Paramethoxyamphetamine (PMA) contained.

In addition, in two substances supplied as speed, we have again detected the substance 4-Methylamphetamine (4-MA) found. In connection with the consumption of 4-MA poisoning and deaths have already occurred in Europe. Details of all the samples that have been checkit! analysed and classified as high-dose, unexpected or of particular health concern, you will find here.

!!!PMA found in XTC!!!

We have on 11 January Two pills sold as XTC analysed, which instead of the active ingredient MDMA contain, among other things, the substance PMA (paramethoxyamphetamine) contained. The pills are yellow, with a logo on the front (bulldog - see picture) and have a Diameter from 7.7 mm. The tablets contained PMA still Caffeine and Amphetamine.

Approximately one hour after taking PMA blood pressure and body temperature rise suddenly and sharply. PMA consumers feel a strong lower dosage The person undergoes an alcohol-like state of intoxication, perceives hallucinogenic-like afterimages and abnormal body sensations such as tingling, numbness or furry skin, limbs falling asleep and similar effects.

PMA can cause a sharp rise in blood pressure and body temperature. The pulse begins to race, breathing becomes faster and at the same time heavier, the eyes move abruptly, muscle cramps, nausea and vomiting can occur. The very sharp rise in body temperature can lead to organ failure with fatal consequence come.

If you experience these symptoms, please call the emergency services immediately (144)

!!! We strongly advise against the consumption of untested substances - and this pill in particular!!!

If, despite the increased health risks consume untested substances, test carefully and wait at least two hours before you "top up"!

Warnings November 2012

Since the beginning of November, checkit! has tested a number of substances that pose a health risk. The increased appearance of high-dose ecstasy tablets is currently particularly striking. At doses of over 1.5 milligrams of ecstasy (MDMA) per kilogramme of body weight in men and 1.3 per kilogramme of body weight in women, the negative effects of MDMA come to the fore and the likelihood of a harmful effect on the brain increases.

If you consume ecstasy despite the health and legal risks, follow the risk reduction instructions on our website here and here.

All samples analysed by checkit! in the period from 1 November 2012 to date and classified as high doses, unexpected or of particular health concern are presented in detail below.

Warnings September 2012

In the past month checkit! a number of substances of health concern were tested. Among other things, four samples brought for analysis as "speed" were again found to contain the as yet unexplored substance 4-Methylamphetamine identified. As several deaths have already occurred in connection with the consumption of 4-MA, we strongly advise against its use!

Under the following link, all samples that have been collected from 1 September to date at checkit! analysed and classified as high-dose, unexpected or of particular health concern.
