Between mid- and late September 2026, we tested a range of substances of particular concern to public health. Several samples sold as 4-MMC contained, in addition to 4-MMC, other substances such as alpha-PVP, 4-CMC or 4-BEC. In what was believed to be an ecstasy tablet, the active ingredient was found once again alongside MDMA PMMA analysed. Caffeine was the only substance detected in two further tablets believed to be ecstasy. In one ‘speed’ sample, methamphetamine was detected alongside amphetamine. In a sample supplied as cocaine, the only substance detected was a unknown substance found. In a sample submitted for analysis as LSD, in addition to LSD, there was also MiPLA and ETH-LAD proven.

The active ingredient was once again found in two tablets believed to be ecstasy. PMMA analysed. Two tablets contained 4-fluorocathinone Instead of MDMA, another pill contained not only MDMA but also NEP detected. Furthermore, the majority of the other tablets sold as ecstasy contained either MDMA in addition to, or instead of, Caffeine resp. Mixtures of Amphetamine and caffeine. The majority of the samples sold as 3-MMC or 4-MMC contained the active ingredient 4-CMC or mixtures of 4-MMC and 4-BEC.

In mid-August 2026, we tested a range of substances posing a particular health risk. Several tablets submitted for analysis as ‘ecstasy’ contained a high or very high dose of MDMA. In some cocaine samples, cutting agents such as Levamisole, Procaine and/or Caffeine It was found that a tablet sold as alprazolam contained, instead, Flualprazolam. One GHB sample also contained GBL and 2 unknown substances.
In some of the samples submitted as 3-MMC and 4-MMC, it was not the expected cathinone that was found, but another cathinone, including 4-CMC, 4-MMC, N-Ethylpentedron and 4-BEC identified. A sample labelled as CBD contained an unspecified a specific semi-synthetic cannabinoid.

Several tablets sold as ecstasy contained ingredients other than the expected MDMA. One tablet contained PMMAanother N-Ethylpentedron and another tablet contained, instead of MDMA, a unknown substance. In a sample submitted as cannabis, the synthetic cannabinoids MDMB-INACA, ADB-4en-PINACA, MDMB-4en-PINACA, 5F-MDMB-PINACA identified. A sample submitted as cocaine contained only Procaine. Furthermore, cathinone was detected in both a sample submitted as 3-MMC and one submitted as 4-MMC N-Ethylpentedron identified. A substance sold as ‘Tusibi – pink Cocaine’ contained, in addition to MDMA, Ketamine, Caffeine and 2C-B also a unknown substance.

In early/mid-July 2026, we tested a range of substances of particular concern to public health. In a sample submitted for analysis as MDMA, the following were found alongside MDMA: 2-MMC detected; in another MDMA sample, a mixture of Ketamine and 2-MMC. The majority of samples submitted for analysis as 2-MMC, 3-MMC or 4-MMC (mephedrone) did not contain the expected cathinone, but rather one or more other cathinones, including N-Ethylpentedron and 4-CMC.
